12 June 2009 - Goodbye

Both Precious (Ochi) and Dexy have left us. We've had reports that they are very happy in their new homes. I have managed to take some photos of Ochi before he left and here they are.

16 May 2009 - Kittens 10 weeks old

I've had a few people asking me whether Fuji will be mated because she has come back into season. The short answer is No as all my girls only get bred once a year as child birth is very stressful for them and they need time to recover. GIrls often come back into season when their kittens are weaning but they will just have to be kept away from the boys for a while.

Anyway, i have taken new photos and videos of Precious and Dexy.

6 May 2009 - Kittens 9 weeks old today

Mummy Fuji has come back into season so my house is like a zoo once again. Dinky is now all grown up, trying to chat up Fuji inside the kitten tent.

Anyway, the kitten weight chart has finally been uploaded. As you can see the kittens (especially Precious) is quite a lot lighter this time round. So it is probably not possible to get these kittens desexed until at least week 12. They have to be at least 1kg to ensure the procedure can be performed safely.

5 May 2009 - Kittens 8 weeks old going onto 9 weeks

So sorry but I have been so snowed under the past few weeks you wont believe it. Rebecca along with her daughter Alessandra and Louise and her partner Mark came to visit the kittens over the weekend. They all took fantastic photos and below are some of the highlights.

As you can see both Precious and Midnight have grown a lot. Also Midnight now has a new name - Dexter.

13 April 2009 - Kittens 6 weeks old

I have been away for so long and finially got a chance today to put in some update. I am sorry guys but I dont have photos because we killed our camera in the pool in Singapore!!! I bought a new one off the net today so hopefully it will arrive soon so I can take more videos.

The kittens have grown so much since March. They are both over 400g now and have started to eat solid food. Unfortunately they have decided to do their no 1s wherever they want so I have given then 3 litter trays in hope that they will do their business in one of the trays instead. Today I have decided to put them both in a big box with a small litter tray inside so they have less freedom but will definitely find the tray when they need to go to the toilet.

Hopefully their toilet situation will improve shortly so they will be able to run around freely again.

23 March 2009 - Kittens 2 week almost 3 weeks old

The kitten are doing really well and I bet you wont recognise them now. I have actually been taking photos throughout but just havent had the time to upload them. I have some of the cutest videos of Fatso (Midnight - I now call him Fatso cos he is so fat) trying to get a feed from Dinky.

11 March 2009 - Kittens 1 week old today

The kittens are 1 week old today and have grown so much. Will update wit new pictures soon. I am planning to call them Precious and Midnight.

4 March 2009 - 2 beautiful kittens were born on 2 separate days

Congratulations to Fuji who delivered 2 beautiful kittens. The first kitten was actually born on 4 March at around 7:30am but the second one wasn't born until 20 hours later at 3:30am on 5 March. This is called interrupted birthing but is nothing to be worried about if mum is not in pain or stress.

The 2 kittens are doing very well. As usual they are quite dark at birth but will lighten up considerably when they get old. My guess is that both of these will end up being black shaded.
