2 August 2009- Silver Cat Club Show
I had great fun at this show along with my other show friends Tina (Shantinga Catter), Lyn (Norlyn Cattery), Ochi's mum Rebecca P, Monet's mum Elizabeth and Bella's mum Rebecca D.
The Burmillas dominated the group 3 section of this show. There were 12 Burmillas in total (longhair and shorthair). I must say I was so proud of all the Aaralyn Burmillas as they did so well.
The best performer of the day was Lotus, first winning Best Female Cat then Best Entire Cat, then Best Exhibit Group 3 and finally 3rd Best Exhibit Overall. She also won Best Entire Burmilla Cat and Supreme Entire Longhair Burmilla Exhibit. Monet and Ochi also did well both winning Best In Show and then 2nd and 3rd Best Exhibit Group 3. Mia, Bella, Dinky and Simba all won top 5 titles too.
We went home very happy with lots of ribbons and prizes. It was also great to catch up with old friends.
June and July 2009 - Federal Cat Club, St Geroge Cat Club, Western District Cat Club
The cats and kittens have gone to 3 show since June but I only took pictures at Western Distrcits. Everyone did very well especially Dinky, Lotus and Bella winning quite a few Best in Show titles and top 5 places. Little Mia also put up a good fight in 2 shows and was also placed in top 5 so hopefully as she gets older she will be able to do even better.
Holly is now going to be staying at home for the new few months to concentrate on making babies! She finished the year as Double Grand Champion which is not a bad effort at all for a girl so young (10 months old as of July 2009).
Below are some photo highlights from the shows:

11-12 April 2009 - Sydney Royal Easter Show 2009
This year a different troup went to the Easter Show. Holly and Dinky were the new reps and did fantastically considering they were both quite young for their age group. It was Dinky's second adult show and he took out a 3rd and a 5th placing against 45 other adult boys. He also won Best of Breed in both rings against the stunning Gd Ch Shantinga Silva Maridian owned by my good friend Lyn Varney and bred by Tina Teasdale who is also a great friend of mine. We were very proud indeed. Holly also did very well winning Reserve Best Female Kitten and "The Most Friendly Cat Award".
We also had a great time at the Pat A Cat and display day. Both Holly and Dinky were great representatives of the Longhair Burmilla breed.

20 September 2008 - Gone To The Dogs No Frills Cat Show
After being busy with kittens over the last few months, I have finally come out of hiding and went to a cat show. This time my new friend Gemma who bought Mimi from my last Fuji litter came to join me.
The No Frills Show was a CFA fundraising show and was held at the Rotunda at Erskine Park. It was a very hot day but luckily we did so well on the show bench that it was worth our while.
Every single cat entered won at least 1 top 5 placing which is very good at such a competitive show. Gemma's Mimi did the best out of all our cats and was placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th out of all 3 rings. The 2 boys Simba and Dinky did equally well - won two 4th places and two 5th places respectively. Beautiful Miss Fuji who came out of retirement also won a 5th place competing in the most competitive entire female section. She also gained enough challenge points to become a Silver Double Grand Champion. I understand she is the first entire female Longhair Burmilla to achieve this title in NSW.
Here are some pictures:

March 2008 - Royal Easter Show
Lotus & her ribbons , Lotus and Me
We started the year by attending the Royal Easter Show. Must say that this year the Easter Show wasn't all that busy but there were still a lot of people in the Cat Pavillion.
We had excellent results with little Miss Lotus winning Best Female Cat (gp 3) from Qld judge Liz Haimes and Reserve Best Female Cat (gp 3) from another Qld judge Allan Davis.
She also won Best of Breed under both Liz and Allan and then Best Female Head Type against all the other breeds.
This is Lotus' first show as an adult so we are absolutely over the moon as she beat a number of very beautiful and exceptional entire female exhibits.
Lotus also went to "Pat A Cat Day" and "Meet a Breed Day". There she captured the hearts of many visitors. At the end of the week Lotus won 4th most popular cat chosen by the public visitors. She got a massive bag of toys and goodies which she shared that with her friends at home :)
Lotus is now in 2nd place for the NSWCFA Cat of the Year award
