Lotus at 12 weeks

Our little beauty passed on in July 2011. She broke my heart when she left us. We will forever remmeber her gentle nature and those beautiful green eyes that used to look longingly into ours. During her lifetime, she has graced numerous magazines advertisements and even the labels of Purina Fancy Feast. Her little grandaugher Babydoll now takes over granny's modelling jobs and is a splitting image of granny. Lotus will forever have a special place in our hearts.

Lotus is the daughter of Fuji. Lotus was born on Chinese New Year Day 18 February.

Lotus is a black shaded longhair burmilla. Her coat is very pale and is silky soft.You will see a lot of photos of Lotus on this website as she is one of the most photogenic longhair Burmilla cat I have ever met.

Lotus joined Fuji and her brother Simba at the show scene in 2007. At only 4 months old, Lotus has already won a number Best of Breed titles against kittens twice her age and size.

In March 2008, Lotus won Best Female Cat and Reserved Best Female Cat (Gp 3) at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. This is a big deal to us as no other Longhair Burmilla cat has ever won a Best In Show Title at the Easter Show.

Lotus delivered her first litter in September 2008. She produced 4 black shaded boys and they are all exceptionally beautiful just like their mother. Her 2 sons Aaralyn Silver Mirage and Aaralyn Silver Mystique were shown for the first time at the Federal Kitten Show on 1 Februrary 2009 at 5 month of age and have managed to win top 5 placings in all 3 rings! Silver Mirage even went on to win Best In Show under judge Fiona Cooper and Therese Imboden John awarded him the Best Burmilla Neuter Kitten award. In the same litter Aaralyn Bonsai Blue and Aaralyn Kenzo Soleil are now multi show winners in Qld. Kenzo was also awarded Best Longhair Burmilla of the year in 2009 by QFA.

In 2009 Lotus produced even more beautiful offsprings, Aaralyn Seiko Rain and Aaralyn Tokyo Snow are both sweeping the Qld show scene thanks to their dedicated show parents Kevin and Sherin Chau. Hopefully these lovely babies will do as well as their brothers.

In April 2010, Lotus won Best Female Cat for the second time at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. We honestly couldnt be prouder. She is such a lovely girl. We love her to bits. Below is a short video of her winning Best In Show.

In November 2010, Lotus gained her Distinguished Merit title. The DM title is only awarded to female cats with at least 5 titled offsprings. This is a very prestigious title and Fuji is the second Longhair Burmilla to gain this title in Australia after her mother Fuji.
