Holly is bred by my good freind Lyn Varney from Norlyn Cattery. I first met Holly when she was a tiny kitten at 6 weeks. At that time neither Lyn nor I knew what colour she was for sure. Then at week 10 I saw her again and couldnt resist her so I paid for her to be DNA tested for chocolate.

Holly's DNA resutls came back positive for chocolate. I also tested her for burmese points and understand that she does not carry any burmese colour and is a homozygous full expression cat. This means that she is not able to produce any brown kittens. We have sent her DNA to the US DNA lab for complete colour mapping and disease screening. Hopefully, we will know whether she can produce blue and lilac shortly.

Holly arrived at Aaralyn Cattery at the beginning of December 2008. We called her Holly because she is our little Christmas kitten. Holly has a beautiful loving temperament and is a very loud purrer and loves to sit on our laps. It took her only 2 days to win the other cats over. Her best friend is currently Dinky but she sleeps with Lotus at night.

Baby Holly went to her first show on 1 February 2009 - Federal Kitten Show. The competition was very fierce at that show especially for the entire female class. I was told that there were 45 female kitten exhibits for group 3 alone! We are therefore very proud that our baby girl won 4th Best Female Kitten from Therese Imboden Johnson. She was also awarded 2nd Best Burmilla Exhibit Overall.

Holly also did very well at the Sydney Royal Easter Show 2009. She won two major awards - Reserve Best Female Kitten and "The Most Friendly Cat of the Easter Show".
